After one year in Office: is President Weah a successful or failed leader?

Washington, D.C. – Liberia’s president George Manneh Weah won his country’s 2017 peaceful democratic presidential election and was inaugurated in office on January 22, 2018, taking over from former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Since taking office, President Weah and his government have made significant promises to the Liberian people.  His supporters say he is performing his job well and that he has the country at heart more than any other Liberian president of the past.  His critics say he is an abject failure and is unable to govern. In fact, some Liberians say they are missing former President Sirleaf who they believe understood governance better.

Globe Afrique is interested in hearing from all Liberians regarding President Weah’s and his CDC-led government governance of Liberia.
