Liberia: George Weah’s CDC releases names of Campaign team

Lead CDC’s Campaign team

West Africa – The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) presidential candidate Senator George Manneh Weah and his running mate Senator Jewel Howard Taylor released the names of their campaign management team that will lead them to the October 10th, 2017 presidential election.

According to documents signed by the coalition’s secretary general, Janga A. Kowo, and forwarded to Globe Afrique, Honorable Dr. Toga Gayewea McIntosh has been named the national chairman of the campaign and Honorable Wilson K. Tarpeh the national campaign manager.

Chairman McIntosh served in several key positions in the Government of Liberia, including as Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Planning and Economic Affairs, and most recently as vice chairman of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).

Vice Chairman Tarpeh served in numerous capacities including as president of the Agricultural and Cooperative Development Bank, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Liberia, and as a governor of the African Development Bank. He is currently a professor of finance and business administration at the University of Liberia.

Other notable figures on the campaign team include Honorable Milton Gbehzongar Findley, a former president of the Liberian senate, who was named as a senior advisor to the campaign. The names of the other members of the campaign team can be seen in the PDF documents below.
