Moroccan airports post record number of passengers in June

PARIS, France – aviation authorities in Morocco have confirmed that the number of passengers traveling through Moroccan airports reached an all-time record high in June.

The increase is estimated at 26.54 percent year on year, the Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) said Monday.

A total of 2,093,323 travelers passed through Moroccan airports in June, the ONDA said in a statement.

Casablanca Mohamed V airport, Morocco’s biggest airport, received 877,655 passengers while other airports in the country also recorded significant double-digit growth rates.

In the first six months of 2019, the number of passengers traveling through Moroccan airports reached 11.66 million, up 11.9 percent year on year, the statement added.
