Morocco arrests Nigerian national with cocaine capsules hidden in stomach

BRUSSELS, Belgium—-Globe Afrique has received information that the Moroccan police on Thursday seized 74 capsules filled with 1.395 kilograms of cocaine in the stomach of a Nigerian national at Morocco’s Casablanca Airport.

According to a police statement, the banned substance was extracted from the suspected drug trafficker at Ibn Rochd University Hospital.

The Moroccan police, the Nigerian national was arrested on his arrival in the Casablanca Airport on a flight from Brazil’s Sao Paulo.

The suspect has been incarcerated in police custody pending interrogation under the supervision of the country’s public prosecutor.
