Nigerian Singer Tekno Signs Big Money Deal

Augustine Miles Kelechi, popularly known by his stage name Tekno, has finally concluded a record deal with Sony worth $4 million.

Tekno and his record label bosses, Ubi Franklin and Paul Okoye are currently in the United States where they were finally able to conclude the deal that had been announced last year.

Okoye, also the CEO of management company Upfront and Personal, posted a video to his Instagram shortly after the deal confirming the amount which the two parties agreed upon.

The 24-year-old began his music career under K-Money Entertainment.  In 2012 he moved to Lagos to better his music career.  While there he signed a new music contract with Made Men Music Group.

Despite not having released an album yet in his career, Tekno has released a number of hit singles since 2013.  Two of his singles “Dance” and “Anything” won him a nomination for “Best New Act of the Year” at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
