Grand Kru County Representative-Elect, Counselor J. Fonati Koffa
PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 3, 2018
Having conducted and concluded a month long views sampling initiative amongst newly elected members of the House of Representatives of the 54th Legislature on the possibility of electing Grand Kru County Representative elect Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa as Speaker of that August Body and considering the overwhelming affirmative responses gathered there from, the Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia is pleased to state publicly that though it has no voting right in determining who becomes Speaker, it is joining the many voices across the political divide to rally further support amongst their direct representatives for the election of Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa as Speaker.
The Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia views sampling initiative amongst elected representatives of the 54th Legislature has discovered that Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa is highly favored by his colleagues because of his leadership ability which made him the most accessible, open-minded and thoughtful team player. Apart from being an accessible, open-minded and thoughtful team player, Cllr. Koffa is a legal luminary who is equipped and knowledgeable of Liberia’s judiciary system, and is exposed to the global system of justice and human rights and this has made him a suitable person to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives under whose watch laws will be made to benefit the people of Liberia.
The Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia believes strongly that the election of Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa as speaker will put to rest the usual removal of sitting Speakers before the expiration of their tenure as demonstrated in the 52nd and 53rd Legislature. The House of Representatives is a place of Honorability and its sanctity must be maintained therefore it behooves our direct Representatives to heed our call by electing Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa as speaker.
